Description
Inspired by the Tim Powers’ novel of the same title. This is the second time I have painted this scene from The Drawing of The Dark; the first time depicted the encounter from an outsider’s viewpoint rather than that of the protagonist. Tim Powers felt this painting to be such a better representation of his novel that he petitioned the paperback publisher to use it; they refused to honor his request.
