DescriptionBrigid - whose name is healing. Another beautiful older lady, one of a series of four Wood Witches created for IX2020. She is a mixed media folkloric sculpture wall piece intended to be somewhat talismanic and protective over the household in which she will live.
Why does she have large cattle horns? In faery folklore gentle cattle are very prized by the 'Good folk', the feature of many raids and ahem... 'borrowings'. Cow horns are also similar in shape to the crescent moon, a beautiful feminine curve, the moon goddess symbol upon the head of a gentle beast.
She has a varety of stones as embellishments, an ammonite, jasper, tiger's eye, carnelian, garnets, Swarovski crystals, citrine, glass, pearls and mother of pearl. Size approx 7" x 7.5" (18cms x 19cms)
