Everything will end in ash- us, our families, humanity, the planet. Everything. And it’s terrifying, especially because no one seems to be trying to stop it. Maybe people turn away because it hurts too much to see- the dinosaurs had it easy, in a way, right? At least they weren’t to blame for their own extinction.

At the end, when it’s all over, I hope something survives. Some shred or spirit of nature that goes on, against all odds. And I hope it builds something beautiful with the ashes we’ve left behind.
