Once upon a time, I was asked to paint a kitsune. I liked the resulting painting, but it was heavily guided by the commissioner and was a bit too. . . peaceful? Calm? For me. While a kitsune embraces both aspects, she can also rend and tear- and there are those who find themselves possesed by fox spirits. . .
